Why I Started Treatein: A Story About Finding Balance
I started Treatein because, to me, balance is everything.
Over the years, I’ve tried it all — strict dieting, macro tracking, rigid meal plans, and even letting go completely and eating whatever I wanted. None of it felt right. The strict methods left me mentally exhausted and hormonally imbalanced. I’d swing from control to chaos — sometimes even binge eating after periods of restriction.
I never used to have a sweet tooth, but around three years ago, that changed. Suddenly, I craved something sweet every single day. And while I wanted to enjoy those treats, I’d often feel guilty — especially on the days I didn’t hit my protein goals. It was frustrating trying to find something that satisfied my cravings without compromising my health goals.
That’s where the idea for Treatein began.
At the time, I couldn’t find any snack that was high in protein, low in sugar, and actually enjoyable. So I started working on creating it myself. Life threw me curveballs — busyness, fear of failure, unexpected detours — and I paused the project more than once. But I always came back to it. Slowly, with patience and intention. I worked on it at my own pace, guided by the very principle the product is built on: balance.
Treatein is more than just a snack. It’s a reflection of what I’ve learned — that we don’t have to choose between health and enjoyment. I wanted to create something that helps others the way it’s helped me: by offering a little more ease, a little more joy, and a lot more balance in everyday life.
